If you've been following our journey over the last 8 months, then you already know how our students and staff stepped up in a BIG way to be a beacon of hope for our community in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene.  In the month of October, we ran a distribution center receiving supplies in every method from helicopter to semis to minivans and subsequently pushed out over 2 million pounds of lifesaving food, water, generators, sleeping bags, baby goods, medical equipment and more.

In the following months, we formed a partnership called the Better Together Coalition with some amazing partners like Adventures Relief, Operation Blessing, World Vision, Mercury One, Why Not, Valley Hope Church and many others and committed to rebuilding hearts and homes in the Swannanoa Valley.

Over the course of the next two years, the Better Together Coalition is rebuilding over 300+ homes that were damaged or destroyed by Hurricane Helene. Our mission is to repair the homes and hearts of our neighbors in WNC.

Come and serve with Excel College and our partners as we rebuild our local community and help our neighbors recover in the wake of the hurricane. You'll make a difference in the Swannanoa Valley by working with Better Together disaster relief teams while also having the opportunity to grow in your faith through experiencing the vibrant Christian community at Excel.
