A Christmas Shopping Experience
December 20, 2024
Who would have thought that the Christmas shopping event of the season would take place at a college in Western North Carolina? We certainly didn’t, but we’re thankful that it did!
On Sunday, December 15th, we had the pleasure of hosting a Christmas shopping event for families around Black Mountain alongside Adventures Relief and Operation Blessing. With a 27-foot tall Christmas tree as a landmark centerpiece, hundreds of high quality toys, and fun games for the kids, we were blessed to be able to provide a little lift this holiday season.
Volunteers from Excel Academy and College, Adventures Relief, and Operation Blessing operated as personal shoppers for families and helped fill their bags with gifts while their kids were hosted by our Academy staff. Operation Blessing was even able to purchase hand blown glass ornaments from local artisans to give away - blessing both our local businesses and the families! We are so thankful to be able to make the Christmas season a little brighter for our local families!
