Finding the Father in the Core

Sitting here, attempting to write this, I find myself at a loss of words. I find this reflects how I felt going through the Core, constantly at a loss of words having revelation after revelation and each one reflected the Lord time and time again. If you asked me a year ago how metaphysics, biology, or even mathematics reflected the Lord, I probably would have said that there is absolutely no way that mathematics could reflect the Lord. If you asked me now, I would have the pleasure of telling you that it not only reflects the Creator, but mathematics is His nature, wild, I know. “We study His Word, but how often do we study His Works”, this is something you will hear our incredible teacher Davis say many times, and I find it very true. Going through the Core and learning about the book of God’s works has truly changed my life.
Beginning with theology, and coming to the conclusion that God is a Triune God from the very beginning has been one of the most vital things I have learned. God is a relational being only because He is both diverse and unified. He has great delight in relating with us. This theme of the Trinity has been true through many modules. While we were in Physics, we discussed why the world is intentionally three-dimensional, for it couldn’t be anything else. Having a world that is not three-dimensional would either loose efficiency, or it would become chaos. A three-dimensional world reflects the beauty of God; He is full of depth, wonder, harmony, and is the epitome of beauty. This revelational completely blew me away, the Father is so intentional with everything He created and everything He does, it always reflects Him, even if it may take some time to see that.
It took me a while before I could see the Lord in Mathematics, and writing this now I absolutely love mathematics. At the start of this module, Davis asked us to write down our favorite color, a song that we hold close to our heart, a movie that changed our life, a flower that reminds us of a dear memory, or a sport that brings us joy. He continued by telling us that each of these things would not exist without mathematics, and further without God. Through this module, we had many discussions about how math is transcendent and universal, which is a complete reflection of the Lord’s nature. God contains infinity as one being. He contains all of infinity, yet He knows the number of all the hairs on my head, and has been holding all of the tears I have ever cried. He is incredibly personal and deeply loving; no matter where you are that love will never change, just as one plus one equaling two will never change.
I truly could not only go through every module, but even every week of every module and talk for hours of how much I have learned, how much the Father’s heart blows me away, and how much more I am in love with Him. Learning that the “problem of pain” is not actually a problem, but it again leads back to His goodness and kindness each time. Even trying to fully capture what “life” is, leads me to a loss of words as it is so hard to explain, yet it is another delightful gift from Him. In attempt to sum all this up, the book of His works is so vast, not one thing can fully capture the Creator of it all. Everything in Creation reflects HIs heart that is so tender and loving towards each of us, to which I thank Him for.
